During the past several months, Mid-America Christian University has been evaluating our learning management system, eCollege. This is the platform that we use for all online courses. We want to ensure that your online courses or course components are providing you the best learning environment possible. During our evaluation process we determined that a new platform, Desire2Learn (https://d2l.macu.edu), would offer more advanced services and possibly improve your learning experience. For this reason, we have chosen to move away from eCollege and transition all of our courses to the new Desire2Learn platform beginning in February 2012.

There is no action required on your part to login to the new platform at this time. In the upcoming weeks we will be sending you login information and training sites to familiarize yourself with the new platform. I would like to encourage you to print out assignment grades, instructor comments, or information you view as important from the eCollege system because beginning April 1, 2012 MACU will no longer have access to the eCollege system. Unfortunately, we are not able to transfer the online course material for previous courses in eCollege, so it is important that you print any information you see as relevant in the case you ever need to reference it. I am very excited about the new system, and I think you will be as well.
